I was impressed by all that your mother achieved in her life, and wanted to pass it along.

Just so you know, the maintenance of the trail has been turned over to Princeton University, which owns the land, though the DR Canal State Park folks have traditionally maintained the area. That whole broad strip of land used to be mowed by parks, and in 2006 I convinced the state to reduce mowing of the habitat to once a year, while keeping the nature trail mowed more regularly. That made for less mowing and better bird habitat, but budget stress in state parks in recent years caused them to reach out to the University for mowing. I'm trying to get the university to mow the habitat once a year, but no luck thus far. I try to get down there periodically to make sure the trail is in good shape, but I'd be glad for any heads up on fallen trees, etc. if you're down that way, so that I can pass it along. Maintenance is an underrated force in the world.
