I have plenty of bamboo on my 3.5 acres in Princeton but there's room enough for them amongst the oaks, white ash, maples, pines, firs, cedar, cypress, and spruces. Of course, my husband stymies their advance across one corner of our lawn with his machete all summer but a rogue stand flourishes in the woods in the back. They're close to thirty feet tall and two inches across now. The foxes, turkey vultures, crows, ravens and deer don't seem to mind.

Anyway, keep up your lovely observations. I read them all the time, although this is the first time I've commented.Alexandranoreply@blogger.com
