Witch Hazel

Along with snowdrops and winter aconite in local yards, asian varieties of witch hazel are blooming. This one's on the Shapiro walkway on the university campus. A planting along the Guyot Street bike trail between Jefferson and Moore, with a more southern exposure, is already past.

The native witch hazel blooms in October.
